With a Bachelor's degree in Biology and a Master's degree in Chemistry from St. John’s University, along with a background as a cosmetic chemist, Madison offers a profound understanding of the cognitive processes crucial for academic achievement.
She is dedicated to enhancing essential executive function skills– such as memory, attention, organization, and time management– empowering students to overcome academic challenges, thrive in their advanced coursework, and excel in their college preparation. Madison finds it most rewarding to help students build the confidence they need to recognize that they are on their own unique path to future success.
Madison Reimer is a dedicated executive function tutor with over a decade of experience, specializing in ACT + SAT prep, chemistry, biology, physics, AP biology, AP chemistry, APES (AP Environmental Science) preparation and advanced high school courses, including honors and AP classes, as well as college-level subjects.

Not only is Madison expert in the subjects she tutors, she has intangibles that are very attractive to parents. She is dependable. She is flexible (as flexible as she can be within her very busy schedule-she is highly sought after!), she develops a great rapport with her students, she follows up with them personally, encouraging them on testing days, congratulating them on achievements, holding them accountable (gently) on assignments she knows are looming and creating an atmosphere where fear dissipates and kids can let their intellectual guards down.

My kids needed someone who made them feel comfortable personally. Madison is youthful, friendly, and feels not far removed from the era of life of her high school students. She immediately put my kids at ease and this opened them to Madison’s expertise in the subjects they were struggling to grasp.
Madison has a deep understanding of test prep (methods/tricks/tools/diligent repetitive practice) and the work she did with my kids paid off in tangible jumps in test scores for them. Hovering near the kitchen table as they studied, I was often floored by the depth of Madison’s intellect and the deft way she leads her students toward understanding concepts where they may be blocked. If one mode of teaching wasn’t working, Madison would pivot to another and another, until she found the path that my kids could follow. This is a part of teaching that defines a great teacher, and this is a gift Madison certainly possesses.

Madison helped both my daughters in numerous ways. Not only is Madison educated, proficient and gifted at high (post-graduate Masters) levels of math and science, she is a warm and approachable young woman who made my kids feel comfortable and open to studying subjects that felt daunting.
Madison was always able to keep my kids on task and focused on their work, even when it was difficult and they were struggling to grasp certain concepts. Madison is patient, and finds different approaches to keep working through problems until her students inevitably find their “a ha!” moment.

What surprised me is that Madison was just as helpful to my kids with working through English essays and social studies assignments as she was with math, chemistry and biology. The depth of Madison’s knowledge is truly impressive. The idea that this highly intelligent young woman was even available to tutor my kids really struck me at times. Madison is a treasure, and her work with my kids bore fruit. Their grades went up, their test scores went up and their study habits became more structured (knowing that Madison would be checking in with a text to ask if assignments were completed and if the kids felt satisfied with the results).
I offer the highest praise for Madison and would recommend her heartily to anyone whose children need academic help at any level.
